Surplus Supplies = Savings and Sustainability

As we near the start of another semester, this is a reminder. 

Prior to the Pandemic, we created and maintained a Surplus Supply spreadsheet.  We are taking steps to renew this project.  If you have extra supplies/furnishings that are no longer needed by your department, don't throw them out, add them to the spreadsheet.  Giving supplies to another department is a great way to benefit that department at no cost and contribute to sustainability.  It also aligns with Vision 2027.

How do I start?

  1. Copy and paste the path below into the File Explorer browser to find the Surplus Supplies spreadsheet on the M-Drive.
    • M:\Offices\Shared\Surplus Office Supplies
  2. Type in the information pertaining to the heading of each column. Follow the examples of the information already listed.  Make sure to include a name and an extension number.
  3. Wait to be contacted.
  4. When an item has been given away, adjust the quantity or remove that item from the list.
  5. Don't forget to close the file when you are done so others can access this list.

The Surplus Supplies list is also for acquiring some free items as well.
