Professor Tony Leuzzi (English/Philosophy) Publishes New Book of Poems

On November 1, 2023, Tiger Bark Press released Tony Leuzzi’s fourth book of poems. Called Fog Notes, Leuzzi’s new collection has received strong endorsements from some of the nation’s most esteemed poets. “In Fog Notes,” Lannan, Guggenheim, and Whiting Foundations recipient Dana Levin observes, “fog is prima materia: the source from which memory, dream, and thought emerge, evolve and return. I love following Leuzzi’s mind.” James Laughlin and PEN awards winner David Rivard claims “Fog Notes is terrific and necessary, start to finish.” And 2022 Pulitzer Prize winner Diane Seuss admits “The more I read Fog Notes, the deeper I am in its thrall. The poems are lavish with inuendo . . . [and] serve as interlocutor between grief and astonishment.” Although Fog Notes is already available through the publisher and online, a book launch will occur on Thursday, December 7, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Rochester Contemporary Arts Center, an event that is free and open to the public.
