Kognito: Free Training Resource for Faculty, Staff, and Students

In growing efforts to support our student’s mental health and well-being, the Counseling, Disability, and Health Services department wants to inform the college community of the training resource, Kognito.

Kognito is an interactive role-play simulation that builds awareness, knowledge, and skills surrounding mental health and suicide prevention. The training prepares users to lead real-life conversations with a student who may be in distress and how to connect them with support.

Faculty, staff, and students can participate in this online simulation training for free and the training is approximately 1 hour in length. The training program has two different simulation options and is tailored to someone’s current role at the college (peer-to-peer support and faculty-to-student support).

If you are interested in engaging in this training, please refer to our training resources webpage.

If you have any questions, please email our office at counselingcenter@monroecc.edu.
