April is Autism Awareness Month

Please join the Counseling Center, Disability and Health Services Department as we recognize April as Autism Awareness Month. This month presents an opportunity for our college community to learn more about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and the experiences that individuals with ASD live with. It is a chance to dispel myths, break down stereotypes, and foster a culture of inclusion and acceptance on campus. Above all, Autism Awareness Month is a reminder that diversity is our greatest strength. By embracing the unique perspectives and abilities of individuals with ASD, we enrich our communities as a whole.

To help spread awareness in April, we will be hosting a tabling event with the local community organization, Autism Up, to help educate, inform, and have meaningful conversations with our college community. Please see below for date, time and location. We hope to see you there!

  • Date/time: Tuesday, April 9th from 11am to 1pm
  • Location: Brighton Campus Terrace
