Instructions for Entering Grades in myMCC

Your final grades will be due in Banner by Wednesday, May 31st by noon.

To alleviate any confusion:  Brightspace versus Banner

  • There currently isn’t a way to feed grades from Brightspace to Banner.
  • It’s encouraged that faculty spend some time checking the accuracy of grades in Brightspace before entering them in Banner.

Where to enter grades in Banner 9 (upgrade from 8):

  • Go to myMCC (mymcc.monroecc.edu) and select the Employee profile.
  • Select the Banner tile.
  • Select the Faculty Services tile.
  • Select Grade Entry under Rosters.
  • Select the course for which you wish to submit grades.

If you need assistance entering your grades in Banner 9 for the first time please reach out to Rick Sadwick (rsadwick@monroecc.edu) or Sarah Hagreen (shagreen@monroecc.edu).

Alternatively, you can still use Banner 8 if you’re more familiar with it by selecting B8 self-service from the Banner tile.

Question: What are the common errors made when entering grades?

Answer:

  1. Omitting the last date of attendance for grades of F.
  2. W grades can only be submitted by students or through the Registration and Records office as requested by students.
  3. Forgetting to save your work at the bottom right of the screen.

It’s worth the extra time, after saving your work, to exit and go back in to check that the grades were submitted. If the grades aren’t submitted due to an error or not saving, you will appear on an error report.  You will then be asked to try again by Registration and Records, and the process will then need to be repeated.  This can be time-consuming and frustrating.

Please enter your grades before the deadline!

If you need help with grade-related questions send an email to R&R (Registration@monroecc.edu). This mailbox is checked constantly throughout the grading period.
