Visiting Fine Artist, Brian O'Neill Presentation on Process

On Wednesday, March 27, from 10 to 10:50 a.m., visiting artist Brian O'Neill will discuss various aspects of his artsitic process, including his use of certain techniques, his approaches to portraiture and abstraction, and his reliance on an "inner dialogue" to aid him in revisions. O'Neill's talk will feature several visuals and examples from his work.

The event will take place in Building 12, Room 205. It is free and open to all members of the college community. It is sponsored by the Creative Arts Committee in conjunction with the Office of Student Life and Leadership.   

The following is a general briography:

Brian O’Neill’s work has been showcased in galleries across The U.S, Canada, Japan and England. O’Neill is a graduate of The Ani Art Academy apprenticeship program where he studied under the guidance of acclaimed realism painter Anthony Waichulis. Brian is a sought after instructor who teaches abstract and representational workshops and private students in his Rochester, NY studio located in the historic Hungerford Building. His work has been included in four museum shows in the past four years with a Juror's Choice Award at the prestigious Naples Museum of Art for the Blossom 2: Art of Flowers Premier Exhibition, inclusion in the two year traveling museum exhibition of Blossom, The American Still Life exhibition at the Shreveport Museum of Art and most recently, in the 74th and 75th Annual Regional Exhibition at The Arnot Art Museum, Elmira, NY.
