Unlocking Opportunity Information Session on January 29-TODAY

Please join President Burt-Nanna and the Unlocking Opportunity (UO) Planning Committee for an information session on January 29, 2024 at noon in Monroe A. Building on the information presented in our December session, this event will provide an update on our collective work, along with presentations from the committees focusing on gateway courses, advising, and program mapping, which are part of our UO strategies.

There is also the opportunity to participate virtually (see attachment). The Unlocking Opportunity Post-Graduation Success and Equity Network is a collaboration of the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program and the Community College Research Center (CCRC). Monroe Community College is one of only ten colleges nationally to participate in this network dedicated to seeing thousands more community college students enter and complete programs that lead to family-sustaining wages or to efficient and effective completion of a bachelor’s degree.

Following the information session, from 1:00 to 1:30, UO team members will be available outside Monroe A at a poster session to provide additional information surrounding their committee’s focus and strategy.
