Career Services is hosting a Handshake Open House for faculty and staff today from 11:30am to 1:00pm in the Career Services Library.

Handshake is MCC's comprehensive career services platform and hub for all things education to employment – jobs, internships, career fairs, events, and more. The Handshake platform is designed to be modern, streamlined, and provide tailored and individualized career information.

In Handshake, users can:

  • Search and apply for jobs using specific criteria
  • Create and save searches
  • Create email alerts for new opportunities using specific criteria
  • Create a profile and upload a resume for employers to review
  • See upcoming career events

In addition, Handshake offers faculty and staff who recruit for on-campus employment many great new features like:

  • Managing all your on-campus recruiting needs
  • Having students apply right through Handshake, getting alerted when they apply, and viewing the applicants in the system
  • Updating your job postings and re-using without having to re-enter them every year
