Passing of Retiree Thomas Dellaquila, Math Department
The MCC family mourns the passing of Thomas Dellaquila, retired math professor, on October 15, 2023.
He joined MCC in 1964 as an assistant professor in the Mathematics Department and was promoted in 1972. He achieved the rank of professor in 1978.
After 34 years of service at MCC, he retired in 1998.
An Army veteran, Professor Dellaquila earned a master’s degree from New Mexico Highlands University and a bachelor’s from Clarion State College in Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances; daughter Julie; a brother; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or Lollypop Farm.
MCC extends condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. We are grateful for his many contributions and service to MCC.
