Monroe Swimming & Diving brings home National Title with Historic Season finish

The 2023-2024 Swimming and Diving season has ended with peak performances and history being made at the National Tournament last week at Indian River State College, Fort. Pierce Florida. The Monroe Men’s Team secured the National Al Zamsky Non-Scholarship Team Title for the third straight year and placed 5th overall beating out several scholarship teams. The Women placed 7th overall and had great performances from the Women’s Diving team as well. Please See the accolades below.

Monroe Men:

  • Team Champions- Non-Scholarship Division 
  • National Champion 3M Diving (334.15-New School Record): Ryan Campbell 
  • National Male Diver of the Year: Ryan Campbell
  • National Runner-up 1M Diving: Ryan Campbell 
  • Non-Scholarship Athlete of the Meet: Henrique Silva-Baltazar
  • Men’s National Coaching Staff of the Year: Dr. Dale Pearce, Anna LaPoint, Sam Cottrell and John Rodman
  • School Record- Mike Rose 50-yard Backstroke (25.60)
  • CSCAA All-American Status (Individuals Top 8 and Relays Top 4): Ryan Campbell-1M & 3M, Henrique Silva-Baltazar- 1,000 Free, 200 Fly, 1,650 Free, Jon Smith- 1M & 3M, Matt Wilson 1M & 3M
  • 400 Yard Medley Relay (4th Place) Michael Rose, Stefan Ritz, Henrique Silva Baltazar, Max Curtis
  • Consolation Finalist (9th-16th) Logan Chaffee (50 and 100 back), Max Curtis (100 Fly and 500 Free), Jon Hay (200 IM, 400IM, 100 back & 200 Back), George Plucinik (200 Free), Stefan Ritz ( 50, 100, 200 Breast), Mike Rose (50 back, 100 IM, 100 Free) Henrique Silva Baltazar (400 IM),
