The Week Ahead

The office of Student Life & Leadership Development presents the following events for next week (please share with students):

Student Government Snack & Chat

  • Monday, March 11th, 12:00 pm to1:00pm, Brighton Campus Center Terrace  
  • Wednesday, March 13th, 6:00 pm to 7:00pm, Brighton Campus Canal Hall

Snack and Chat with your Student Government student leaders. This is a kickoff event for the 2024-2025 Student Leader elections. “Can you see yourself” as a student leader eclipse glasses give away. Snack & Chat will be heading to downtown campus next month!

Open Mic @ Deja Brew

  • Tuesday, March 12th, 2:15pm to 4:00pm, Brighton Campus Deja Brew

Join Student Music Association for an Open Mic Day. Bring your musical talent to Deja Brew and sing a song or sing along. Refreshments will be available.

Ukrainian Fundraiser Movie Night

  • Thursday, March 14th, 5:00pm to 7:30pm, Brighton Campus Center Monroe B (3-205)

Join Global Union, Campus Activities Board, and ROCMaiden for a film showing and fundraising event to support Ukraine.  Admission is free, snacks and drinks will be sold for purchase with all proceeds going toward aid efforts in Ukraine.

Elections Workshop

  • Friday, March 15th, 1:00pm to 2:00pm, Brighton Campus Bldg. 3-121

Join your current Student Government Association team and Learn how to campaign for Student Government leadership opportunities in the future. 

Other News:

  • Tax Help on Campus: The Department of Taxation and Finance will be on campus to help students get in person tax help and file for free. Help will be available every other Monday (3/11 on Brighton Campus) on both campuses from 9:30 to 4:30 pm. Students must pre-register for an appointment at www.tax.ny.gov/tap/
