Black History Month Movie Showing Downtown

  • Wednesday, February 28th, 11:30am – 1:30pm, Downtown Campus 2nd Floor Lounge  

Join AAWCC, PRISM, Campus Events, and Campus Activities Board for Black History Month Movie Screening of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Snacks will be provided.

Red Cross Blood Drive

Movie & Discussion on Police Brutality for Black History Month

  • Thursday, February 29th, 11:30am- 2:00pm, Brighton Campus Center Empire Room

Join Black Student Union for a showing of Fruitvale Station and discussion with RPD officer Moses Robinson on police brutality. Lunch will be provided.

Bollywood Event

  • Thursday, February 29th, 6:00pm- 9:00pm, Brighton Campus Center Monroe B

Join Global Union and Campus Activities Board and get ready to groove Bollywood style! Join us for a night of vibrant colors, infectious beats, and non-stop fun. Indulge in mouthwatering food, and hit the dancefloor as our DJ spins the hottest Bollywood tracks. Capture unforgettable moments at our photo booth and make lifetime memories!

Other News:

  • Tax Help on Campus: The Department of Taxation and Finance will be on campus to help students get in person tax help and file for free. Help will be available every other Monday on both campuses from 9:30- 4:30 pm. Students must pre-register for an appointment at www.tax.ny.gov/tap/
  • Student Government association will be attending SUNY Advocacy Day on Tuesday February 27th. Student Government leaders and their faculty advisor will be travelling the State Capital to meet with Government legislators to advocate for educational resources that support the needs of the of the MCC student body. They will be meeting with officials beginning at 9:30am until 3:00pm. Keep an eye out on the @leadatmcc Instagram account for Student Trustee Ana Santos experience!
