TCC: Open Classrooms Week (How to Sign up?)

Teaching and Creativity Center is pleased to provide fantastic opportunities for faculty and staff to attend Open Classrooms Week in person at the Brighton Campus & Downtown Campus, remotely on Zoom, and asynchronously online through Brightspace.

I would like to thank all of our colleagues who volunteered to open their classrooms for Open Classroom Week. Many exciting classes will be available, including chemistry, geology, physics, mathematics, philosophy, history, education, and graphical design.

Open Classroom Week (March 18 through 22): How to sign up?

  • There are options each day during Open Classrooms Week, March 18 to 22.
  • There are no walk-ins! Please ensure that you sign up for the classes you would like to observe.
  • On the sign-up schedule, you will notice that there are selections for each day and online. Classes are in chronological and then alphabetical order. For each open class, the hosting faculty has included some background information on the class and their expectations. Kindly comply with these expectations.
  • Each class has a limited number of slots based on the host’s preferences. Please sign up only for the classes that you plan to attend.
  • Please complete the form to sign up for the Open Classroom Week.

Reflection Tips
You should observe to learn something about teaching or students. Before attending Open Classrooms Week, spend some time thinking/writing about what you would like to learn. During the classes, keep these ideas in mind. After the class, take some time to reflect on what you learned. Was it what you expected? How will your learning impact your work at MCC?
