Active Threat Response Quick Reference Guides

The Public Safety Department has created two quick reference guides for use by the College community during an active threat incident. The first of these guides refers to the steps that need be taken during a campus lockdown request. You’ll find copies of this guide in every classroom, lecture hall, and meeting location on all of MCC’s three campus locations.

The second guide is a comprehensive Active Threat Response Guide that provides instructions on campus shelter-in-place, campus lockdown, and campus evacuation requests. Both of these guides are 8x11 in size and are laminated to ensure the integrity of the document.

Copies of these quick reference guides are available from the Office of Emergency Management by emailing Emergency Manager Chuck DiSalvo (cdisalvo@monroecc.edu). These documents will be delivered to you via inter-office mail.

As a friendly reminder, individual, classroom, and group training pertaining to active threat response is available upon request by contacting the Office of Emergency Management at the above e-mail address or by calling Emergency Manager Chuck DiSalvo at (585) 292-2926.
