Don't Weight! Sign up now for the 2023-24 MCC Wellness Council Project Zero Challenge.

The holiday season is rife with temptations. It can help to have an accountability partner to keep those temptations at bay. During the holiday season, do you have trouble navigating the temptations of plentiful sweets and holiday feasts? An accountability partner greatly enhances the potential for successfully navigating those treacherous temptations. The seventh annual MCC Wellness Council Project Zero challenge gives you access to likeminded, dedicated accountability partners.

The goal of the Project Zero challenge is to maintain your current weight through the holiday season. That is, participants weigh in before Thanksgiving, live our lives through the new year, then we weigh in again and see if we gained, maintained, or lost weight. The best way to maintain your weight is to eat Healthy and exercise throughout the holiday season. Your weight is a good indicator of whether you are maintaining your healthy goals.

We have teamed up with The MCC Foundation again this year. Our registration "fee" is actually a donation to The MCC Foundation. Why The Foundation? Because The Foundation aligns with our goals. What is good for MCC is good for MCC employees. Money raised for The Foundation goes directly into maintaining our livelihood. The MCC Foundation is a vital source of unrestricted funds that support student scholarships, faculty enrichment programs, funding for educational equipment and seed money for innovative programs.

Join the Wellness Council and The Foundation by accepting the Project Zero challenge. Donate $10 to The Foundation to register for Project Zero. Participants in the challenge also have the opportunity to win motivational prizes. When you register, you are entered in a drawing to win prizes. Donate $25 or a greater increment of $25 to get more chances to win in the drawing for “valuable” prizes. Each additional $25 gets you another entry. $100 will get you five entries in the drawing.

Sign up to get started (www.monroecc.edu/depts/foundation/make-a-contribution/project-zero/)! The official start and stop dates are November 23 thru January 10.
