Tokeya Graham (ENG/PHL) Receives Jacque Cady Annual Advocacy for Children Award

On Friday, January 19, 2024, Professor Tokeya C. Graham (ENG/PHL) received the ROC the Future Alliance’s Jacque Cady Annual Advocacy for Children Award. This award recognizes an individual for extraordinary accomplishment in advancing public policy or funding decisions for the benefit of our community’s children, in furtherance of ROC the Future Alliance’s mission to improve cradle-to-career outcomes for Rochester’s children.

As part of this prestigious award, Professor Graham was able to select a child-serving agency benefiting children ages 0-8 to receive a $5,000 donation. This donation is courtesy of Rochester’s Child, an initiative of the Rochester Area Community Foundation in honor of Jacque Cady. The organization of her choosing is Avenue Blackbox Theatre where she is proud to serve as Co-Chair of the board. The monies will benefit 2nd Sunday Stories & Stuff, a monthly literacy initiative that celebrates reading for families.
