Thank You for Supporting MCC's Student Parents!

The Single Moms Learners Design Challenge Core Team (Kim DeLardge, Renee Dimino, and Medea Rambish) would like to express our gratitude to the college community for all you do to support student parents.

If you are an administrator, a faculty member, or a staff member and show kindness, compassion, and flexibility with student parents, we thank you!

Here’s an overview of some of the student parent activities and events from this fall semester:

  • collecting bookbags and children’s books and distributing them to student parents
  • hosting SNAP events to answer questions and support student parents with applying for SNAP and other assistance
  • surveying the college community about family friendly spaces on campus
  • sharing data about who our student parents are at MCC
  • communicating with a cohort of student parents at least weekly and following up with their questions and concerns
  • collaborating across the college and beyond

We wanted to send a big thank you to all who worked with us!
