Education and Human Services Department Welcomes Ukrainian Delegates

The Education and Human Services department welcomed Education and Human Service professionals from the Ukraine to the downtown campus on March 20, 2023.  The delegation of six professionals were part of the Open World Ukraine Program of the Congressional Office for International Leadership. The purpose was to come together and share strategies and methods, best practices, cross cultural insight, and knowledge in the helping fields of both countries.  It was truly an eye-opening cultural experience for everyone involved.  At the core, we learned from one another that basic human needs, behavioral/psychiatric challenges and trauma crosses international boundaries.  The Department hopes to build on this initial meeting for future international collaboration with the group.
