Sustainability Program Today at Noon

The Nature Conservancy notes that 50% of plastic produced today is “single use” and 11 million tons of plastic enters the ocean every year. Reducing plastic use is the most effective means of avoiding this waste.

Be sure to stop by the Empire Room today at Noon and check out the displays about plastic pollution.Discover alternatives for single-use plastics. Take the Break Free from Plastic Pledge. Find out more about the SUNY Single-use Plastics Policy. There will also be a showing of the Smog of the Sea 30-minute video starting shortly after noon.

Participate in Campus Crunch and come get a free NYS apple and some apple cider! Stop by the Marketplace at Brighton or Deja Brew (Brighton and Downtown) to enjoy menu items created with NYS apples.
