Application Deadline for OER Funding

Included in the recent announcement for the Innovative Instruction Technology Grants (IITG) is the call for proposals for Open Educational Resources (OER) Impact Grants which are funding opportunities designed to foster academic innovation.

The two-stage proposal solicitation is detailed on the SUNY IITG website. First, descriptions of high-level ideas are requested via a brief application similar to a Letter of Intent (LOI), followed by town hall style meetings (participation in one of several offered is a requirement). 

Multiple applications from a campus are welcome.  The key dates are as follows:

  • The LOI website opens Thursday, December 14 through Wednesday, January 17.
  • Town Hall meetings will commence the weeks of January 29 and February 5
  • RFP site opens simultaneously with town hall meetings (no later than February 1)
  • RFP deadline: Sunday, March 17 at 11:59pm. 

Additional communication will be forthcoming via the IITG website, as well as through normal SUNY and FACT2 communication channels.
