MCC Provost and VP for Academic and Student Affairs Dr. Margaret Semmer Announces Her Departure from MCC

Monroe Community College Provost and Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs Dr. Margaret Semmer recently announced her plan to leave MCC on March 15, 2024.

Please join me in acknowledging Dr. Semmer’s many contributions to MCC, including her leadership as we completed the important reorganization of the division of Academic and Student Affairs and as we launched our participation in Unlocking Opportunity: The Post-Graduation Success and Equity Network. Her vast experience in the field of higher education and her commitment to student success have been instrumental at this pivotal time.

I know our College community deeply appreciates Dr. Semmer’s dedicated service to and positive impact on our students. We wish her every success in the next chapter of her career as she made the decision to return to the Midwest.

My office will be accepting resumes and interviewing up to 3 persons for the position of Interim/Acting Provost/VP. Further details will be published in Monday’s Tribune. Chief of Staff Dr. Candice Baldwin will serve as point of contact, serving as the liaison to ASA on behalf of the President, until the Interim/Acting Provost/VP is named.
