TCC Day 3 of Kudos: MCC Employees Appreciate Each Other

MCC students, faculty, staff, and administrators are supported by many wonderful people working in offices all over our campuses. Please join the TCC in thanking the following individuals whose good work was nominated by their colleagues:

The Virtual Campus Team, Learning Resources, and Library Staff

  • I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the staff of the Virtual Campus Team for their exceptional support during the Brightspace migration over the past year. They have spent countless hours becoming experts in the new system so that they can all provide the best support to our users. Their expertise was especially evident in the Zoom support hours where they patiently and effectively troubleshooted technical issues and helped faculty rebuild courses as needed. Thanks to their hard work, our faculty and students have had a smooth transition to Brightspace. I look forward to continuing to work with the Virtual Campus Team as they strive to make ongoing improvements and provide the best possible experience for our users.

  • I also wanted to give a shout-out to Learning Resources and Library staff for their support in helping students with Brightspace issues over the past year. Your work does not go unnoticed! Thank you!

Holly Wynn Preische

  • Holly is a fantastic director. She goes above and beyond - every single day. Holly meets with students, responds to student emails, covers the front desk, covers for staff who are unexpectedly out, and more - while also handling the multitude of additional Director duties. Holly's door is open; she responds with respect and care to staff and students. She remains calm during the chaos which is no easy feat. Holly is amazing, and we are incredibly fortunate to have her at MCC!

Sally Dingee

  • The depth of advising and FACE (financial aid course eligibility) knowledge that Sally possesses is remarkable. The complexities of these are astounding, to say the least. I am not sure if many understand what all is involved. Sally responds to staff, faculty, and student questions in a timely, respectful manner - often after spending a great deal of time researching the issue. She is dedicated to helping students achieve their goals. We are so fortunate to have Sally at MCC.

Beth Krowl

  • Beth is amazing. She runs our front desk with kindness, efficiency, attention to detail, and patience. Beth takes care of the advisors - checking calendars and planning ahead. Beth responds to student questions with compassion and understanding. She also works closely with our 4-year college partners when they visit campus. Beth goes above and beyond - doing whatever she can to help our office function as smoothly as we are able. Our office is so fortunate to have her here.

Kamilla Claiborne

  • Kamilla is fairly new to the college. She is an Admissions Advisor. She gives her all to everyone she works with! And she has this infectious laugh. She jumped in head first, and has not let up yet! The role is challenging, but she is doing a great job and wanted to let her know that she is appreciated.

Demetrius Rhodes

  • Demetrius is always willing to help with any situation that may come up (even if it's not really his problem). He has a calm demeanor and always seems to have just the right answer. He is an asset to not only Monroe Community College...but to everyone he comes in contact with. Kudos to him!
