Microcredentials Update

I recognize and thank Christine Accorso and Sarah Hagreen who led the automation and setup of a process that allows students the opportunity to identify their interest in pursuing a microcredential. 

Once an application of interest is submitted, Banner is updated and allows a student to register for a course(s). Behind the scenes, completing this task was complex that required much brainstorming, trial and error and comprehensive testing of a wide range of student scenarios. The solution that has been developed and implemented enables a student to be enrolled in just a microcredential or in a degree program and microcredential simultaneously.   

Based on the selection of each microcredential, specific communication is sent (coordinated by Marketing).  Finally, Degree Works is programmed to do an audit for completion verification. Complete list of Microcredentials.

Two New Microcredentials have recently been approved: 

• Phlebotomy Technician
• Trauma Informed Care
