Day 7 of TCC Gratitude Series: More Student Kudos

Please join the TCC and MCC students in acknowledging the following faculty members.

Mike Martella, CRJ

  • Best teacher I’ve ever had! His teaching is very easy to understand and has made me very successful. I enjoy his class and hopefully can have some more with him as a professor!

Marjorie Crum, VAPA

  • I believe that she gives all she can to her students and the opportunities that she had shared with her classes makes me want to succeed in my future. Her bright and colorful personality never fails to put a smile on my face and I am very proud to call her my professor and mentor. I believe with her feedback I have become a very accomplished artist and I know she wishes the best for mine and many other students futures.

Marc Ricci, VAPA

  • Great professor, who worked me through all my issues and problems with assignments. Awesome job and keep up the good work. For a student like me it's hard to asks for help without feeling dumb and wanted to quit school.

Paul Emerick, BIO

  • Professor Emerick goes out of his way to make sure his students have a concrete understanding of what he is lecturing on. He makes himself available easily when we need help. Putting difficult concepts and terms into easier to understand terms is only one of the many ways he has helped me this semester.

Lisa Flick, BIO

  • Dr. Flick has been an exceptional professor so far this semester. She is a tough, but fair teacher and there is nothing more I could have asked for as a teacher of a very hard course. Because of her light-hearted attitude and willingness to provide any type of assistance she can, I am succeeding in my courses. Even though she is my biology professor, she inspires me to work harder in my other classes and strive for the best grades possible.

Jennifer Hill, BIO

  • Professor Hill is the best professor I’ve ever had. She is always very encouraging and willing to help. Her lectures are entertaining and informative. Professor Hill also cares about her students deeply, she gave me great advice when I was going through a really hard time personally and told me I could talk to her anytime about my struggles.
  • She is very helpful when it comes to learning the material and teaches it really well in a way for students understand. Very fun lectures and always finds a way to make them interesting especially in a hard class like a Anatomy and Physiology 1

Erin Strobl, BIO

  • She's been very helpful throughout the semester, has been very patient with everyone, has shown a real passion for what she teaches, has been accommodating, and has taught in a consistent manner.

Richard Stevens, BIO

  • Professor Stevens has gone above and beyond to make biology interesting for his students. He takes the extra time to make sure concepts are understood and always finds a way to make labs fun. Whether you are a biology major or not, Professor Stevens makes it interesting for everyone. At the beginning of the semester, I was unsure whether I wanted to major in biology or math, but since taking his class, it became clear that biology is the route for me.

Marisol Galarza-Ruiz, World Languages

  • She was very helpful throughout this semester, she's helped all her students with tips and tricks to speak the language.

Susan Noonan, Optics

  • Susan is a surrogate mother to the entire Optics student body. She acts for others before herself, and is truly invested in the men and women who pass through the program and their futures. The worst part about graduating from the MCC Optics program is that I won't be able to see her as often anymore. Susan deserves praise for her work and commitment, but her greatest strength is her humanity.
