Drumrights Gain Honors at Rose Show

Patti Drumright (Adjunct Professor, English and Philosophy) and Bill Drumright (Associate Professor, AHPS) earned multiple honors at the New York District Rose Show, held September 8 through 10 in Binghamton at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel.

The Drumrights gained first place for the Large English Box class (Meredith); second place in the Large Picture Frame class (Let Freedom Ring); third place in the Fragrance class (Fragrant Plum); and honorable mention in the Large Bowl class (Meredith).

The English Box features a grouping of six roses taken from the same bush. The English Box award was also recognized as part of the district show's Court of Honor, which honors all the first-place winners in the competition.

The Drumrights represented the Greater Rochester Rose Society, of which Bill Drumright serves as President.
