Alumna Angelica Perez-Delgado to Address Class of 2024

I am pleased to announce that Angelica Perez-Delgado, member of the MCC Class of 1997, will deliver the Message to the Graduates at MCC's Commencement on Thursday, May 30, at 7:00 p.m. at the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial.

Ms. Perez-Delgado is a distinguished member of the MCC Alumni Hall of Fame and was named the seventh President and CEO in the 50-year history of the Ibero-American Action League, Inc. in 2019.  She has over 25 years of experience in not-for-profit and began her career as a substance abuse therapist before transitioning into administration in the last decade and a half. She is a Rochester native and grew up in the city's North Clinton neighborhoods. Even though she experienced poverty and trauma and dropped out of high school, she was able to turn her life around through the services she leads today. Her personal experience of failed systems as a young teenage mother prepared her to return to her roots, her barrio, and her current position.

She has a Master of Science in Health Administration from Roberts Wesleyan College, an advanced certificate in Theology, Scripture, and Ministry from Northeastern Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science in Community and Human Services from Empire State College. In addition, she is an active grassroots Latino community organizer in the Northeast part of the city of Rochester and participates in various advisory groups and boards throughout the community.

MCC celebrates the success of the Class of 2024 and looks forward to the inspiring words of Angelica Perez-Delgado, our featured Commencement speaker.
