Fall Course Shells in Brightspace

Faculty, if you are assigned to teach a fall course, your course shell is now available in Brightspace. Please remember to filter your courses to the Fall 23 term to locate them. You can pin them for easy access. 

  • We recommend that you copy your course content in place of doing an export/import for better results. Please view the "Copying Content between Brightspace Courses" (7 minute video) as a reminder. 
  • We have Zoom hours on (5/5) from 10 am-12 pm if you need assistance. 
  • Please make your summer and fall merge requests if you would like to combine multiple sections of the same course into one shell. You can locate the request form in the VC Faculty Center (See Forms for Request). Cross-listed and single CRN/lab/lecture courses have been merged, but any new additions to the schedule will require a request.  Late requests will not be accepted! 
    • Summer I and III deadline is May 24th by noon
    • Summer II deadline is June 28th by noon
    • Fall deadline is August 16th by noon
  • Please note, if you work in a live shell and that course is canceled or reassigned to another instructor, you will lose access to that course shell and your work. If you are unsure that you are teaching a course, but want to prep it, consider using one of your practice courses so that you can copy it closer to the start of the semester. You can request additional practice course shells if needed.
