Attendance due by September 18th

Attendance is due by September 18th for Fall 2023 full-term courses.  

*Note: This is a separate process from weekly Starfish attendance, and is used in reporting for Financial Aid purposes.  

Important Student Non-Attendance Entry Information

Please wait to enter the ‘never attended’ code of ‘0’ until September 18th to 19th.  Entering this code before September 17th will trigger an immediate drop for non-attendance; students have the right to demonstrate their attendance/participation through the census date which is not the case if the ‘0’ code is entered early.  Note: The code must be entered before the Financial Aid freeze date of September 20th.  Thank you for your cooperation in helping to meet this tight time frame!

If the student has attended you can enter a 1 at any time before September 18th.

Banner 9 Attendance Entry

  1. Log into the myMCC portal.
  2. Click on the Banner tile.
  3. Click on the Banner 9 Faculty Services tile.
  4. Under Rosters, click on the Grade Entry link.
  5. Double-click on the white space in the line of the course for which you wish to enter attendance.
  6. Enter a 0 if the student has never attended, or a 1 if the student has attended, in the Hours Attended column for each student.
  7. Click Save at the bottom of the form.

Banner 9 is a new updated version.  If you need assistance with entering attendance, Registration and Records will be hosting the following training session on how to enter attendance in Banner 9 self-service. 

  • Monday, September 11, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Downtown Campus in room 514
  • Monday, September 11, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Brighton Campus in room 11-104
  • Tuesday, September 12, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Brighton Campus in room 11-104
