The Week Ahead

The office of Student Life & Leadership Development presents the following events for next week (please share with students):

Kristallnacht Book Banning Art Display

  • Monday, November 6th thru Thursday, November 9th, R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center Terrace

The Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project is hosting an Art Exhibit depicting art created by students in various art classes.  The theme for their art is Banned Books.

Veterans Appreciation Week - Monday, November 6th thru Monday, November 13th

Hear Palestine Event

  • Wednesday, November 8th, R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center Forum, 3-130, 6:00 pm

Join the Young Democratic Socialist of America Club for a discussion on past and current events.  There will be a question and answer period following the speaker from Rochester Committee to End Apartheid.

Please join HGHRP, the Jewish Federation and the Office of Student Life & Leadership Development for the 32nd Annual Kristallnacht Program featuring Best-Selling Author and New York Review Editor, Daniel Mendelsohn

Diwali Celebration

  • Friday, November 10th, R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center Terrace, 11:30 am thru 1:30 pm
  • Henna, Candle holder painting, Music, Food and so much more

Come celebrate Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights, with Global Union.  

Other News:

  • Campus One80 will be traveling with a group of students to their fall bible conference this weekend
  • The Travel Club will be traveling to the Canandaigua Lake House next week for a Resort Experience
  • The ELC will be taking a trip to Clarkson University next Friday
  • Campus One80 in collaboration with the Disabilities Awareness Club and the Student Parent Success Coach,  is hosting a book drive to collect new or gently used children's books to be donated to MCC student parents.  The drive is running from November 3rd thru November 27th.  There are collection boxes at both the Brighton and Downtown Campuses
