Angelique Johnston Named an AACC 2024 Dale P. Parnell Distinguished Faculty

Professor Angelique Johnston (English and Philosophy) was named an American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) 2024 Dale P. Parnell Distinguished Faculty honoree.

This award recognizes the outstanding achievements of faculty making a difference in students’ lives, both in and out of the classroom. Professor Johnston is a recognized leader engaged in a myriad of initiatives and programs focused on student success. These include her work as College Composition Coordinator, service on the Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) Committee, co-creation and coordination of the Scholars' Day Celebration of Learning, and partnerships with Rochester City School District (RCSD) students and faculty.

Professor Johnston will be recognized on April 9 at the AACC conference in Louisville, Kentucky, during the David R. Pierce Closing Lecture honoring Outstanding Alumni and Distinguished Faculty.

Congratulations to Professor Johnston for this well-deserved honor!
