Fostering Deep Listening Workshop Today at Noon

The Teaching and Creativity Center invites the College Community to attend "Fostering Deep Listening," the third workshop in our Spring 2023 Leading Effective and Impactful Meetings Series.

When we listen deeply, the people we're listening to feel valued and we're in a better position to take action. In the Fostering Deep Listening workshop, participants will examine some of the typical pitfalls of listening and exercise alternative deep listening skills. We will also share reflective practice techniques to increase listening opportunities during meetings.  To close, participants will reflect on how to use what they learned in preparing and facilitating their own meetings.

  • Wednesday, May 17, noon in 2-423 (Library Classroom)

  • During Faculty Senate's Professional Development Week in June

  • Presented by Shawanda Evans and Terry Shamblin

NEW:  All who attend individual workshops in the series will a Particpation Badge, culminating in an Engagement Badge for participating in all four sessions. Credit will be given for prior attendance at this year's workshops. Badges will be disbursed via Brightspace before the end of June.

All faculty, staff, and administrators are welcome to attend, and there is no need to RSVP.  We hope to see you there!
