MCC Awarded SUNY Microgrant

The Single Moms Success Design Challenge (SMSDC) team has recently received the SUNY Share Our Strength Microgrant.

SUNY awarded grants supported by the Share our Strength funding of up to $1,000 to campuses and childcare centers to assist in conducting targeted outreach to the parenting student population. MCC’s award will support:

  • Connecting with the local Nutrition Outreach and Education Program representative to help with SNAP enrollment
  • Incentivizing student participation in enrollment events

The SMSDC Team, Kim DeLardge, Renee Dimino and Medea Rambish, will be hosting an event in the near future to assist students with enrolling in SNAP benefits.
