William Dixon Presents at the Association of Institutional Research and Planning Officers

At the June 2023 Association of Institutional Research and Planning Officers conference titled “Data Science Meets Institutional Research,” Dr. William Dixon presented Predictive Analytics and Student Retention to a packed room. The focus of his presentation was exploring how colleges can use predictive analytics to improve student retention on campus. Specifically, Dr. Dixon presented information on how colleges can use existing program assessments with predictive analytics to create customized roadmaps for student success. Audience members were enthusiastic about the possibility of using these data to take concrete actions on their campuses to improve retention.

We look forward to hearing more about this topic from Dr. Dixon and how it can be applied at MCC.
