Nyerges performs in his 30th year as the Jazz Pops pianist with Jeff Tyzik.

Music Professor of VaPA John Nyerges was a featured jazz piano soloist on 2 compositions last Friday & Saturday, November 3/4 with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra's 30th Anniversary concerts at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theater. He has been their pianist with Jeff Tyzik for 30 years and a few years before that as a guest soloist with Jeff Tyzik and Allen Vizzutti in their "High Class Brass" shows. Before that he was Doc Severinson's pianist with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra for 2 years. This year he has been arranging and/or composing all the charts for the MCC small group and Jazz Ensemble and is very happy with the quality of the music students he has this year. The end of the year jazz concert is on Wednesday December 6 at 7:30pm in the MCC Theater. Free and open to the public. Hope you can come!
