Join the students of FSA 108 Healthy Cooking and the Wellness Council for a Mindful Lunch

MCC’s own Renee Dimino and Terry Shamblin will guide you through a reflective dining experience, as you enjoy a healthy vegetarian meal prepared by the students of the FSA 108 Healthy Cooking class. This event is sponsored by the Wellness Council and is open to all MCC employees.

To give you a sense of how our experience will unfold, here is the path we will be taking together:

Plan to arrive before 12:00p.m. if you can.

  • 12:00 to 12:05pm: Arriving and settling in
  • 12:05pm: Meal Gatha and invitation to begin our buffet lunch in silence
  • 12:05 to 12:30pm: Mindful eating in silence
  • 12:30 to 12:50pm: Dessert and discussion of the experience of mindful eating

The lunch is on Friday, October, 27, from 12:00 to 1:00pm in Food For Thought (building 3 room 146). Tickets are $5 and go on sale Monday, October 16, at Food For Thought. Menu items include a Hearty Mushroom Barley and Kale soup, House-made Pita with a selection of Hummus, Pumpkin Cookies, and more!

Seating is limited so get your tickets early. We look forward to seeing you there.
