New MCC Downtown Campus ChargePoint Electric Vehicles (EV) Charging Stations

As part of Monroe County's efforts to go green high-speed electrical vehicle charging stations are rolling out countywide.  MCC’s Downtown Campus is one of the sites selected to receive ChargePoint electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.  Two will be installed in Lot AA along the west edge of the parking lot where the fuel-efficient vehicles' parking spots are located.   The stations will allow up to four vehicles to charge at one time.  The spots are open to the public at a cost of $2.25 per hour to charge.

Mobilization will begin on Monday, December 4, 2023. Four handicapped parking spaces will be coned off as well as the fuel-efficient vehicle parking spots for approximately two weeks.  The handicapped spots will reopen sooner, if possible.

We ask that you be mindful of the contractors on-site and use caution as you are driving through the lot.

We encourage the College community to take advantage of this resource.  The hope is for the program to grow and increase the usage of electric vehicles on campus.  There will be additional ChargePoint charging stations installed at the Brighton Campus at a later time.  If you have questions about the charging stations, email Toni Custodio (acustodio@monroecc.edu) or call (585) 685-6106.
