MCC Libraries Presents "Crash Course on Research," a Workshop for Students

Exciting news! MCC Libraries is offering Crash Course on Research: Ace Your End-of-Semester Assignments, a workshop designed to equip students with the skills they need to approach their end-of-semester research assignments with confidence.

We’ll guide them through each stage of the research process, from understanding their assignment to finding credible sources to citing them. 

Topics we'll cover:

  • Navigating library databases and other online search tools with confidence
  • Search techniques to ensure more accurate and relevant results
  • Simple strategies to quickly evaluate whether they can trust a source
  • Citation styles (APA, MLA, Chicago) and tools to make the citation process a breeze

When and where:

  • In-person Session: Wednesday, November 8, at 12:00pm Room 423 (4th floor of the Brighton Campus library - directions available at the Welcome Desk)
  • Online Zoom Meeting: Tuesday, November 28, at 3:00pm Join via Zoom
