Connecting Home Devices: Internet of Things (IoT)
It is predicted that more than 30 Billion Devices will wirelessly connect to
the Internet of Everything (IoE) in 2020. Today's everyday devices are now
connected to the Internet, such as thermostats, smart TVs, refrigerators,
fitness trackers and many more. These devices are called the Internet of Things
(IoT). Most people don't see these devices as a security threat but in October
of last year a massive and sustained Internet attack occurred using IoT
devices. These attacks caused outages and network congestion for a large number
of websites.
This cybersecurity article provides security tips on how to secure your IoT
devices.
