Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) Informational Meeting -Wednesday, March 14th!
SURJ is a national network of chapters, organizing white people for
racial justice. Through community organizing, mobilizing and education,
SURJ moves white people to act as part of a multi-racial majority,
advocating for racial justice across the nation, and encouraging the deep
personal work necessary to unpack one's own personal biases.
Representatives from the Rochester SURJ chapter will be on campus
Wednesday, March 14, 12-1, in room 12-226, to discuss SURJ in
more detail, and field questions from students, staff and faculty. A light
lunch will be available to attendees. Please rsvp to Prof. Athesia
