Eileen Lanzafame and Julie Damerell (Transitional Studies) collaborated on "Without a Struggle, There Is no Progress," a presentation at the New York College Learning Skills Association Symposium, April 2-4. They shared information on how they incorporate college and community resources in their teaching of Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass. Julie also presented a session titled, "Book Buddies: A Shared Journey Across Time and Space," about her experiences designing and implementing the original book buddy project at MCC.
