At last night's student concert, Dr. Jeffrey Bartkovich, vice president, ETS, was honored for his exceptional support of music at MCC. Bartkovich (nicknamed "the pope" by current music students) is not only a regular attendee of on-campus concerts but has also been known to cheer students on at off-campus venues as well. According to Dr. David Shaw, assistant professor, music, Bartkovich has been one of the department's greatest advocates. "Jeff is such an active supporter that he knows most of our students by name," he said. "The students adore him."
In addition to presenting Bartkovich with a plaque, students sang a special arrangement of the Titanic Theme. He was also given a very special t-shirt.
