Faculty - Stay In the Loop with Important Announcements from Virtual Campus!

Brightspace has experienced some recent bugs as a result of our latest update on March 13, 2025. D2L is working on resolving some of the remaining issues, including sorting the Gradebook by “Last Name”, but with no current time estimate. We know this makes grading more challenging and we are working closely with D2L and our SUNY Help Desk. 

We have sent several announcements through our Virtual Campus Faculty Center space with important Brightspace status updates to faculty. To make sure you are receiving our messages:

  • Please be sure to check your “Other” folder in your email. You can move these to your “Focused” mailbox if you choose. These messages come from “notifications-noreply@mail.mylearning.suny.edu”. 
  • It’s a great time to check your personal Brightspace notification settings!
    Adjust these to fit your needs. Go into Brightspace, click on your name in the upper right corner, then select “Notifications” from the drop-down menu. Ensure that both Announcement settings are checked under the instant notifications area “announcement updated” and “new announcement available”. Save your changes.
