Please Re-certify WR Courses for Intersession and Spring 2020

Attention all WR-certified faculty: This is a friendly reminder that any voluntary Writing Intensive (WR) course being taught during Intersession and the Spring 2020 semester should be re-certified as soon as possible, please. Doing so ensures that students know which WR courses are available on the master schedule once registration opens. Priority registration begins Oct. 14, and full registration starts Oct. 21.

To re-certify, go to the Faculty Tools area of the Faculty Essentials tab in myMCC and select "Re-certify Your Writing Intensive Course(s)."

Instructions: **You must do this for each class you wish to re-certify**

  1. Select the academic term for which you are re-certifying [i.e. Spring 2020]
  2. Type the CRN for the class, then choose "Section Lookup"
  3. Follow the rest of the on-screen instructions

You will receive a confirmation email for each re-certification that you submit.

Important: This tool is for re-certifications only. You can only re-certify courses that you have already been approved and certified to teach as WR. If you would like to become certified for a different course, please review the Guidelines for Writing-Intensive Courses on the WAC website and submit an application.
