TCC: Book Group (Equity by Design: Delivering on the Power and Promise of UDL)

Please join me in reading Equity by Design: Delivering on the Power and Promise of UDL by Mirko Chardin and Katie R. Novak. This book provides a culturally responsible, equitable, and sustainable teaching framework for all students and presents case studies and stories from teachers and students on the topics of social justice and the Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

The book group will have four meetings in the fall semester and four meetings in the spring semester, all of which will be open to faculty and professional staff. We will meet on the second Tuesday of each month from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. These monthly meetings will provide us with opportunities to discuss the chapters we’ve read, and we will explore resources and an action plan for developing culturally responsible, equitable, and sustainable teaching frameworks.
