Upcoming Title IX Workshops

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Deja Brew will use special coffee sleeves to remind folks to always ask for consent.

Below are our upcoming events for October and November on both the Brighton and Downtown campuses. Please remember to register!

October 3rd from 12:00 to 1:00pm is a workshop on How to Support a Friend Who is Experiencing Domestic Violence. Register for the October 3rd "How to Support a Friend..." lunch. Attendees can expect to learn strategies for helping a friend realize they are in an unhealthy relationship as well as local support resources

October 22nd from 12:00 to 1:00pm is a workshop on Sexual Violence and White Supremacy. Register for the "Sexual Violence and White Supremacy" lunch. Join RESTORE, our local rape crisis program, for a conversation on how white supremacy and sexual violence are interconnected.

October 23rd from 12:00 to 1:00pm in the downtown campus, we are hosting another session of How to Support a Friend Who is Experiencing Domestic Violence. Register for the October 23rd "How to Support a Friend..." lunch.

October 29th from 12:00 to 1:00pm is a lunch time program on Revenge Porn. Revenge porn is the distribution of sexually explicit images or videos of an individual without their consent. It can be used to humiliate, cause distress, or gain personal gain. Register for the "Revenge Porn" lunch..

November 14th 11:30 to 1:00pm in the Atrium, we will be hosting Take Back the Day where we will be honoring survivors of sexual violence. There is no need to register!

Also, please save the date for November 20th, Trans Day of Remembrance. We will be hosting a speaker. More information on that will come shortly.
