Disability Awareness Month: Alumna Spotlight

In honor of October being National Disability Awareness Month, the Counseling Center and Disability Services Office invite you to read the attached story of an outstanding MCC alumna, Sara Furguson, JD. Sara is a legal researcher and writer who also earned degrees from Cornell University and the University at Buffalo School of Law after graduating from MCC. Sara agreed to share her inspiring story with us to serve as a powerful example of the important role MCC plays in the lives of our students, especially those that face seemingly insurmountable challenges.

Sara's story epitomizes the strength and tenacity our students demonstrate on the path to achieving their goals. Sara did not let a life-altering accident that resulted in a spinal cord injury deter her from pursing her educational and career goals. We are proud to share Sara's story with the College Community.
