On May 1-2, Academy for Veterans’ Success Coordinator Eric Wheeler took part in the Transitioning Veterans Summit in Washington, DC. The event fostered dialogue among college faculty and staff, the American Society for Engineering Education, the American Council of Education, and the National Science Foundation. Discussion centered on development of a preliminary framework for veterans to earn an Associate’s degree in engineering science or engineering technology that would allow direct entry to the engineering workforce or seamless transition into four-year programs.
