Reminder: MCC Libraries' "How to Search Effectively" Workshop for Students - Today

There’s still time for your students to join today’s Research Essentials Workshop!

  • Finding Sources: How to Search Effectively
  • Wednesday, March 26 from 12:00 to 12:50 PM
  • In-person: LeRoy V. Good Library (Brighton Campus) – Room 423, or online via Zoom.

This session gives students hands-on strategies for finding reliable sources efficiently. Students will learn: 

  • How to choose and navigate research tools like library databases
  • How to use keywords and filters to quickly find relevant, credible sources

Ways you can support your students:

  • Mention the workshop in class or on Brightspace
  • Consider offering extra credit to encourage participation
  • Encourage students to visit the library for one-on-one research help appointments are available, or they can drop by the LeRoy V. Good Library at the Brighton Campus or the Downtown Campus Learning Commons for support
  • Reach out if you’d like a customized research session for your class - just fill out our instruction request form or email us at Libraries (libraries@monroecc.edu).
