Reminder: MCC Libraries' "How to Search Effectively" Workshop for Students - Today
There’s still time for your students to join today’s Research Essentials Workshop!
- Finding Sources: How to Search Effectively
- Wednesday, March 26 from 12:00 to 12:50 PM
- In-person: LeRoy V. Good Library (Brighton Campus) – Room 423, or online via Zoom.
This session gives students hands-on strategies for finding reliable sources efficiently. Students will learn:
- How to choose and navigate research tools like library databases
- How to use keywords and filters to quickly find relevant, credible sources
Ways you can support your students:
- Mention the workshop in class or on Brightspace
- Consider offering extra credit to encourage participation
- Encourage students to visit the library for one-on-one research help appointments are available, or they can drop by the LeRoy V. Good Library at the Brighton Campus or the Downtown Campus Learning Commons for support
