2019 Annual Convening for #Real College and the Hope Center

Without sufficient food and a safe place to sleep, college students across the country are struggling to learn. #Real College and the Hope Center are national leaders in addressing food and housing insecurity issues on college campuses. Their annual Convening will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 8am to 5pm, and MCC will be hosting a viewing party in High Falls A and B at the Downtown Campus.

This Convening seeks to help program participants to:

  • Prevent food insecurity with efforts that go beyond the campus food pantry.
  • Support student-parents, former foster youth, and re-entry populations.
  • Address the needs of students returning to college and older learners.
  • Shape state and federal policies to improve food and housing resources available to students.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided for participants.
