Department of Public Safety Active Threat Training

For six days in the month of July, the Department of Public Safety will be conducting Active Threat/Shooter training in Building 12 of Monroe Community College's Brighton Campus. This training session is an integral part of the College's emergency preparedness effort. These exercises will occur in two-day sessions (both Tuesdays and Wednesdays) on July 9th and 10, 16th and 17th, as well as the 23rd and 24th. The hours of training will be from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Signs will be posted around the training area and uniformed personnel will be stationed at specific access points to ensure that those not involved in the training do not enter. The training is practical in nature and may appear real to those observing the ongoing activity. However, these training sessions are important as they will provide our Public Safety staff with the most current Active Threat/Shooter mitigation training available. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at (585)292-2904 or khall006@monroecc.edu. Thank you for your patience and consideration in this matter.
